System baseline

Use Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 with current patches — Arc Raiders and anti-cheat components expect recent builds.

Disable unrelated overlay apps (Discord legacy overlay, RGB tools) that hook DirectX before first inject.

Steam and game files

Verify Arc Raiders files in Steam after major updates before loading cheats — corrupted caches cause false loader failures.

Install on an NTFS drive with free space for loader extracts; avoid synced OneDrive folders for delivery paths.
